We'll feature it on this page and add your family to our archive of South Carolina Americans of German-speaking heritage. This page introduces Helene Riley, born in Vienna, Austria. A dedicated teacher of German language, literature, and culture at Clemson University, she is the author of more than a dozen scholarly books and numerous articles in professional journals. Helene Riley taught at Yale University for 10 years before coming to Clemson.
